Environmental policy Camping du Château

Camping du Château strives to be an environmentally friendly and sustainable campsite, where guests can enjoy nature without harming it. A number of set goals that contribute to a more sustainable management of the campsite and the surrounding nature are:

O   Water saving
Reducing water consumption and striving for the efficient use of this valuable and scarce natural resource. Water-saving systems have been installed, such as thermostatic taps, sensor taps and showers with push button function. Rainwater is collected for watering the gardens and for other non-drinking water purposes.

O   Energy management

Energy-efficient lighting (LED lighting) is used that automatically switch on and off and devices with the EU energy label A + or higher. Investments have been made in (small) solar panels for generating renewable energy at the campsite. A large part of the outdoor lighting works on solar energy.

O   Waste management

Glass, paper and cardboard, plastic packaging, cans and metals, batteries, compostable waste, residual waste and kitchen oil are collected separately at the campsite. The aim is to reduce waste by reusing materials and purchasing products with minimal packaging
